Fairview Township Police arrest a man after he stabbed and sliced his live in girlfriend with a knife inside his home in Meadowbrook Court Mobile Home Park.
Kerry G. Sawyers is being charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, flight to avoid apprehension and Harassment.
The victim told police the incident occurred on Saturday December 1, when she arrived home. Sawyers began yelling at her immediately before he threw the victim up against the wall and struck her in the head with a bottle. He then took a knife and stabbed her in the leg and cutting her three times police said.
On December 6th, the victim was visiting family in Lower Allen Township when she called police to have Sawyers arrested. Police responded to the Lower Allen Township Address and located Sawyers in the area.
Police say Sawyers did attempt to flee from police, but after a short foot chase, police were able to take Sawyers into custody.
Sawyers was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Keith Albright and is currently in York County Prison in lieu of $75,000 cash bail.
