The Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched to the area of the first block of North Railroad Avenue Tuesday night for an armed robbery that had just occurred.
Police say the victim had gotten into their vehicle, when they were approached by an unknown individual who pointed a firearm at them and told the victim to give him anything he had.
The victim was able to flee from the scene and the individual was last seen running westbound in the first block of West Strawberry Avenue, according to police.
Investigators say the victim’s cellphone was taken during the robbery.
Police describe the robber as a skinny white male, approximately 150 pounds, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a mask that covered his face, except for his eyes and mouth, a black hoodie and jeans.
Police are seeking information on the identity of the pictured individual who is believed to have been in the area around the time of the robbery.
