Some folks were looking for bargains at the Lancaster City auction on Saturday-- just in time for the holidays.

The public auction was held at the city armory on the 500 block of Chesapeake Street. Items up for sale were  no longer being used at Lancaster's City Hall, as well as some household items, clothes, and 80 bicycles.

"Bikes are always a hit for the kids," Administrative Support Supervisor Michelle Dunn said, "I think that having it around Christmas time this year is kind of a neat thing, that way maybe they'll be able to get some Christmas presents."

All of the proceeds from the auction will go toward funding the City of Lancaster.
