Police Chase on Interstate 81

The Cumberland County coroner says one person was killed during a police pursuit around 1 a.m. Saturday.

According to West Shore Regional Police  they attempted to stop a minivan driven by Soumalia Alphonse Kremian, 41 of Camp Hill on North Front Street in Wormleysburg when Kremian fled.

Officials say the pursuit proceeded into East Pennsboro Township onto Richland Lane when Kremian lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Richland Lane and Burd Drive and crashed into a tree.

Police were still in pursuit of the vehicle and  did witness the crash investigators said.

Kremian was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Dauphin County Forensic Center.

The police causing another death! When the vehicle did not stop & sped away the police should not have given chase at all because it usually ends badly because they do when they should’ve just got the plate number & tracked them down later under safer circumstances but the police honestly truly do not believe in safety!

No, that isn’t always the best possible thing to do. That would be open season to every single person speeding away in the hopes that their plate was not identified. It would lead to fake and stolen plates on vehicles. It would tell every drunk/drugged driver that they may speed away and sleep it off in some secluded area so they will be sober when the police, as you say, “tracked them down later under safer circumstances”. Anyone with a corpse in the car can speed off and dispose of it before returning home to be “under safer circumstances”. Stolen cars can be used for other felonies like robbery with no worry that the police will chase them because that’s the new policy under your watch. Just shoot up a school or a movie theater? No problem. The police aren’t going to chase you if you speed away from them. We’ll catch ya later!

Why waste money on an autopsy? Stupidity in his life that led to a decision to continue the stupidity by trying to outrun the law in a traffic stop (meaning he had something more to hide). Cause of death: Suicide.

maybe the news should make sure the facts are right b4 reporting things… but wait the news is never wrong right?

Are you gonna crack? Do we need to shine the bright light on you and waterboard you?
Cops tried to stop vehicle. Driver fled. Crashed into tree. Transported to hospital. Dies.
Autopsy scheduled. After the appropriate people are paid off, we’ll get the results, right? I think North Korea is involved. If the dead guy is black, we’ll schedule a riot, otherwise, we won’t talk about it.
