Emergency repairs on a major electric circuit in the Borough of Middletown are being completed without any interruption of power to Borough residents.

It had been anticipated that a major circuit in the Borough would have to be shut down this morning to complete those repairs to bowed cross arm which was in danger of breaking and causing a primary line to fall, causing a much wider outage.  But crews doing the work were able to devise a plan to make those repairs without needing to shut down the circuit, avoiding any outage.

As of 10:45 a.m., the new cross arm has been put in place and crews are now working to reattach the various pieces of equipment and wires it supports. Work is expected to be completed by noon
