LONDONDERRY TOWNSHIP (WPMT)-Eight vendors at Saturday’s Market in Londonderry Township have been arrested for selling counterfeit merchandise, according to Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico.

The counterfeit merchandise included more than $100,000 worth of clothing, boots and DVD’s, investigators said.

Authorities also seized $8,500 in cash and a gun. The arrests were the result of a month-long investigation targeting  Trademark Counterfeiting.

Listed below are the names of the people arrested:

Lawrence Stringer, 27, of,  Steelton, -arraigned before MDJ Marsha Stewart and released on unsecured bail

Ibrahim Oumarou, 42, of, Middletown-arraigned before MDJ Marsha Stewart and released on unsecured bail

Ahmed Bamba, 30, of , Lancaster-arraigned before MDJ Marsha Stewart and released on unsecured bail

Elhadj Abdoul-Karimou, 51 , of Harrisburg, -arraigned before MDJ Marsha Stewart and released on unsecured bail

Michael Thompson, 30 , of Harrisburg, -arraigned before MDJ Marsha Stewart and released on unsecured bail

Yaye Mounkaila, 41,  of Harrisburg-arraigned before MDJ Marsha Stewart and released on unsecured bail

Samantha Edwards, 36, of Harrisburg-released on summons

Harley Smith, 36, of York, -released on summons

District Attorney Ed Marsico commended the agencies for their work on this investigation and warned consumers to be alert for counterfeit goods. “At the busiest shopping time of the year, consumers should be aware that there are vendors selling fake or knock off goods and not fall prey to the lure of a very cheap, but counterfeit gift.”
