Woman hurt during purse snatching attempt in Lebanon

LEBANON (WPMT)-A woman was hurt during a purse snatching attempt on Saturday in Lebanon County.

It happened around 5:14 p.m. in the parking lot of Weis Markets located along the 800 block of South 12th Street.

Police said the woman was loading her groceries into her vehicle when a man approached and attempted to grab her purse, which was slung over her shoulder. The woman was knocked to the ground during a struggle with the suspect. She suffered minor injuries from the fall, police said.

The suspect ran away empty handed.

The suspect is described as a white male, thin and short with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue “pea” style coat and dark pants.
