Lancaster man accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old he met online

ELIZABETHTOWN (WPMT)- A Lancaster man is facing charges after police say he sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl he met on the internet.

Authorities charged 25-year-old Aaron Boas with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

Elizabethtown Borough PoliceĀ  began investigating Boas in July after receiving a complaint that he had inappropriate contact with a 12-year-old girl.

According to police reports, Boas met the girl online and arranged to meet with her in person on July 1. He picked the girl up in his vehicle and had sexual contact with the girl at various locations throughout Elizabethtown, police said.

Boas was arrested on Dec. 15 and released on $25,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled Feb. 5.
