NEW YORK, NY(WPMT) An American Airlines passenger’s angry response to the words, “Merry Christmas” resulted in him being escorted off the aircraft at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
The man was waiting to board his flight earlier this week when a gate agent checking boarding passes began greeting passengers with a “Merry Christmas”.
According to the The New York Post the passenger shouted at the agent, “You shouldn’t say that because not everyone celebrates Christmas.” The agent replied, “Well, what should I say then?” “Don’t say, ‘Merry Christmas!’ ” the man shouted.
Once on board a flight attendant also said, “Merry Christmas”, and the passenger went off the rails. He began shouting and refused to be calmed down.
Finally the unruly passenger was escorted off the aircraft to applause by other passengers on board.
