A couple makes some happy memories at Penn State Hershey Medical Center on Wednesday.

Ashley and Aric Murkaydo said "I do" in front of family and friends, as well as medical center employees. The couple has been engaged since 2006, but Aric has been battling Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma since 2008. Ashley has also had some medical problems, so they were unable to tie the knot until today.

Staff at the medical center made all of the arrangements, even providing the newlyweds with a cake and sparkling cider for a toast.

"He was given a slim chance of leaving the hospital this weekend. We're not going to look to the past, we're going to look to the future and just take it day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute and just live it, know that life is too short and if you've got to do something, do it for love, do it for your kids," said newlywed Ashley Murkaydo.

The Murkaydo's daughters Kylie and Alani served as flower girls for the ceremony. Alani even made the rings for the ceremony.
