Several police officers are moving up in Harrisburg, including one who fought back after being injured in a car crash.
5 police officers were promoted at a ceremony at the city's government center. Mayor Eric Papenfuse says the move shows strong leadership in the city and the police department.

Mayor Papenfuse says, "We promote from within and we promote based on merit, dedication, accomplishments, that's what we're doing here today. You have 4 gentlemen, once that couldn't be here today, that represent the very best of the Harrisburg police department."

Officer Daniel Peiper was among the officers promoted. In 2013, he was critically injured in a hit and run crash. The suspect was found guilty of aggravated assault on a police officer.
