Deadly crash in Lancaster shuts down street for multiple hours

Police say one man was killed, when a car he was riding in crashed into a utility pole and several other parked cars.

Officials say both the passenger and the driver were in their mid 20s. They were taken to the hospital. One man died and the other man is listed in serious, but stable condition, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Officials say North Queen Street in Lancaster will be closed most of Saturday for cleanup.

North Queen Street at Conestoga and Church Street has been closed since 1:30 a.m. PPL and other utility companies will spend most of Saturday repairing a pole that was damaged during the crash.
