UPDATE: Victim in deadly crash in Lancaster identified

Police say 23-year-old David Castro-Valdez died after a crash in Lancaster around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say an Acura sedan was traveling north on South Queen Street when it struck a utility pole and three parked vehicles.

Both the driver, 21-year-old Erick Lopez and Castro-Valdez, the front-seat passenger, were taken to Lancaster General Hospital with severe injuries, according to police.

Officers say Castro-Valdez died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

The accident is under investigation by the Lancaster Bureau of Police Crash Investigation Team.
