Wet, mild, and windy through Sunday
WET AND MILD SUNDAY
The transition to rain has taken place for most of our region overall, with just a few icy spots still hanging on. As temperatures slowly continue to rise through the 30s this evening, periods of showers are expected. Overnight, on and off rain showers continue, with temperatures rising through the 40s. The morning hours look to be the wettest, with heavy rain at times as a cold front crosses through. Expect foggy places too, with low visibilities at times overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Ahead of the front, temperatures continue to spike Sunday, reaching the middle to upper 50s! The breezes also kick up later tonight, with very windy conditions lasting through Sunday.
Another cold round of cold air begins to slip into the area overnight Sunday into Monday. Highs are knocked to near freezing during the day with mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday is a bit colder with highs near 30 degrees. A clipper system will pass through the area as well, bringing the chance for light snow. Accumulations are likely, and will be in the light range (dusting up to 1”-3”).
MIDWEEK POLAR BURST
Wednesday a polar air mass slips in behind the clipper system, with temperatures in the middle 20s. Models are painting an even colder picture for Thursday, with highs in the teens to near 20 degrees! Thursday morning is brutally cold as well, with lows possibly falling into the single digits. Temperatures are slow to rise into the weekend, reaching 30 degrees by Saturday with a mixture of clouds and some sun at times.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
