UPDATE: 2 New York City Police officers injured in shooting

UPDATE: The two NYPD officers were responding to a robbery call when they were shot Monday night.

One was shot in the elbow, the other in the back.

The NYPD says the shooter is still on the loose.

Two New York City police officers were shot Monday night in the Bronx.

This is according to the NYPD.

Both officers are expected to survive.

This comes just one day after a funeral service was held for Officer Wenjian Liu.

He and his partner, Officer Rafael Ramos were shot and killed as they sat in their patrol car last month.
