Harrisburg man wanted on attempted homicide charges

HARRISBURG (WPMT) — Police need your help to find 53-year-old Leroy Brooks, who’s wanted on attempted homicide charges for a shooting that happened in Harrisburg on January 2.

Investigators say the shooting happened during a drug deal along the 1700 block of Park Street around 2 p.m. Friday.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Brooks. He is charged with attempted homicide, two counts of robbery, conspiracy, two counts of aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license.

Investigators arrested his accomplice, 18-year-old Rodney D. Hoskins, on Jan. 3, police said. Hoskins is charged with attempted homicide, robbery, conspiracy, two counts of aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license. He was taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $300,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Hoskins on Feb. 2.
