A Hamilton Township, Adams County woman woke up screaming when a 53 foot long tractor-trailer came crashing in through her bedroom. The truck is still in the home and engineers say they can't remove it until the house is stabilized. Now police are investigating what caused the near death experience.

Ronald Ruth, of Abbotstown says, "I saw the truck in there and thought what the hell is that?"

Ruth was driving down Route 194 in Hamilton Township when he passed his friend's home, in shock. He says, "Just a damn shame, I hope Mary Louise is okay."

Mary Louise Frey, 84, is okay, after a tractor-trailer driver rammed through her bedroom around 1:45 in the morning. Township managers say the driver was carrying around 7,000 pounds of plastic bottles.

Hamilton Township Deputy Emergency Manager, Douglas Fishel, says, "She was as calm as could be in the ambulance. Tickled to death to be alive, she had 2 angels on her shoulders last night."

Police say the truck driver was traveling south on Route 194. Then, he drifted off the road and traveled 75 yards through this lawn before striking Frey's home.

Ruth says, "I don't know how the truck got in the house like that. I guess the guy fell asleep, I don't think roads were icy last night."

Police are investigating why the truck driver lost control. Charges have not been filed. Township officials say Frey was screaming just 10 feet away from where the driver came to a hault and eventually, kicked open the Windshield to get out of his truck.

Fishel says, "I wouldn't want to imagine that, it's terror."
