LANCASTER COUNTY, PA(WPMT) – A multi-alarm fire destroys two barns, vehicles and livestock at a farm in Indian Run Road in Manor Township.   The first fire crews to arrive on the scene reported heavy smoke and flames pouring a large barn and an adjacent smaller barn.

The larger barn was filled with hay which helped fuel the massive fire. Smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles in the fire which broke out at about 3:25 pm.  More than 100 steers on the lower level of the large barn were destroyed. Two pickups parked next to the barn were also consumed by flames. Fire crews from about 17 fire companies battled the blaze.

Firefighters remained at the scene for hours mopping up hot spots.  No word on estimate of damage.
