Man charged with assaulting, stabbing brother in Spring Garden Twp

An ambulance crew dispatched to a Spring Garden Township home for a fall victim found two men with stab wounds. It happened around 3:22pm on Monday at 554 W. Springettsbury Avenue.  The men, brothers Asasii Sweeney, 37,  and Zebulun Sweeney, 27, were found with lacerations from an apparent assault and transported to York Hospital for treatment.

After further investigation, police charged Asasii Sweeney with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Possession with Intent To Deliver Drugs. He was treated for his injuries and then transported to Central Booking to await arraignment on these charges.

Zebulun Sweeney was admitted to York Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Police say there is no indication of danger to the surrounding community.
