An early morning fire destroyed a house in East Pennsboro, Cumberland County and damaged two others.

Officials say it broke out around 5:30 Friday morning at 6 Woodmyre Lane. A woman woke up to her smoke detector going off. She then saw flames in the back of the house.

She was able to grab her two children and exit the townhouse. She also alerted her neighbors, giving them enough time to exit their homes which the fire also spread to.

Thankfully, no one was injured. Eight people were displaced from the fire. Red Cross is on the scene assisting the families.

The Fire Marshall is working to determine what caused it. Authorities say fire does not seem suspicious.
