HARRISBURG, PA (WPMT) The Pa Judicial Conduct Board files formal charges against Lancaster County District Magistrate Kelly Ballentine.  The formal complaint alleges violations of the Pennsylvania Rules Governing Standards of Conduct of Magisterial District District Judges and the Pennsylvania Constitution. The Board is also seeking to suspend Ballentine based on the allegations misconduct.

Some of the allegations of misconduct against Ballentine include her conviction for conducting sales without a license while operating her business, Walk-In-Style Fashion Footwear and failure to file individual income tax returns for 2009, 2010 and 2011,

Ballentine has been Magisterial District Judge in Lancaster City’s Second Judicial District since January 2, 2006. She was suspended from February 22, 2012 through May 31, 2013 and resumed her duties on June 1, 2013.

She has 30 days to reply to the charges.
