Folks in York bundled up on Saturday to embrace and enjoy the cold winter weather and the beauty of ice.
Ice sculptures took over the Brooks Robinson Plaza outside Santander Stadium for the first "Festivice."
The York Revolution and York Traditions Banks partnered up for the event, with fire stunts, a chili cook-off and lots of entertainment. A large fire pit kept the crowd warm despite temperatures in the 30's.
"The idea was, why wait until Spring to have a good time? The holidays are over, its January, lets bring something into the mix that gets people outside and into the community," says Adam Nugent, York revolution Special Events Director.
One dollar from every adult ticket was donated to help the local Special Olympics, which will be held at Santander Stadium.
