SOME DRY, OTHERS WET

Clouds break up a bit this evening, but as a storm system out west gets closer, the clouds thicken again late. Temperatures initially drop into the 20s, but slowly rise through the latter part of the night. A disturbance from the south sneaks up the coast through the night, and depending on where you live, some see rain showers while others remain dry. The approaching storm system to the west helps keep the coastal disturbance far enough to the east that the western half of the area stays dry. However, the eastern half of our region will see some showers creep in through the morning. It’s possible that a few locations briefly begin as a little freezing rain before temperatures quickly rise above freezing. The showers exit during the afternoon hours. It’s a milder day, with temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

QUIET & SEASONABLE

A quiet and seasonable stretch is in store for our region through the first half of the week. Monday temperatures are in the middle to upper 30s under partly cloudy skies. The clouds thicken up as a weak clipper system approaches Tuesday. This brings the chance for some snow showers through Wednesday morning. Accumulations, if any, will be spotty and under an inch. Wednesday afternoon remains mostly cloudy with seasonable temperatures.

TURNING COLDER AGAIN

Another nudge of colder air slips into the region Thursday. With mostly cloudy skies, highs only reach the upper 20s to lower 30s. Expect more of the same for Friday. The only difference is another weak clipper enters the picture, bringing some snow showers. The clouds are still around Saturday as well. Temperatures stay below averages leading into the weekend, with readings in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
