Attorney General Kathleen Kane has a clear message for residents of Pennsylvania: she says she’s innocent.

New documents were released Wednesday, at her request, and show a grand jury has recommended she face several charges.

Those charges include perjury, false swearing, official oppression and obstruction of law.

Kane is accused of leaking information to a newspaper about a 2009 investigation of a NAACP leader in Philadelphia, violating the grand jury secrecy law.

Kane, however, says there’s no evidence she leaked anything, calling the investigation partisan and politically corrupt.

Some Republican lawmakers are now calling for her to resign, but Kane says she will not back down.

"I'm not concerned about anything,” Kane said. “I went to the grand jury voluntarily, under subpoenaed. But I went, I didn't have to and I made sure I told the truth because you know why? The truth is the truth. That's what it is. There was no crime committed,” she said.

Kane says the special prosecutor in the case was illegally appointed and now she’s filing her own legal challenge.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court will now consider Kane’s claim.

The court will hear arguments in the case in March.

At this time, Kane has not officially been charged with any crime.
