A Dauphin County woman is making a splash to help raise money for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Swim Coach Holly Mckenna kicked off the 3rd Annual Swim-a-THON at Penn State Harrisburg. The marathon started at 7:00 a.m. will continue until 10:00p.m.

With the help of other swimmers and sponsors, Mckenna hopes to raise money for Penn State's "THON" through what she loves to do... swimming.

"I like long distance swimming," Mckenna said, "I`m a swimming enthusiast.  One of my heroes is Diana Nyad and I got to swim with her a few years ago and that was completely awesome and just try to keep that swimming going and it`s just for fun. I get in and I just keep going."

Last year she raised $3,400 through the event. Her goal this year is to get as many students and faculty involved, as well as the surrounding community.
