FALLING TEMPS:  Gusty winds today will help to usher in some colder weather for later today and Saturday.  Expect mostly cloudy skies with northwest winds at 20-30mph today and stronger toward the PA/MD line, which has prompted a wind advisory for Adams, Lancaster, and York counties for this evening and tonight.

WINDS

Temps peak in the early half of the day near 32°, and then they fall through the 20s during the afternoon.  We drop into the teens this evening, bottoming out in the single digits by Saturday morning, where wind chills will settle in the negative single digits as skies begin to clear.  Stay warm!

SATURDAY:  The winds continue early Saturday with sunshine returning.  Expect highs only in the lower 20s as the core of cold weather slips through.

WeekendOutlook

NEXT STORM:  The next storm system develops to our south and races northeast for Sunday.  For now, we expect cloudy skies Sunday into Monday as the storm moves into the region.  Light snow starts Sunday evening, lasting overnight before tapering by midday Monday.  Highs Sunday are near 30° while colder air and light snow keeps us closer to 20° for Monday.  There are many factors influencing our snow amounts, intensity, and timing going into Monday, so you’ll need to check back for specifics through the weekend.

NEXT WEEK:  The below average chill stays for Tuesday with highs near 18°.  We see more clouds on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low to mid 30s before another arctic blast to end the week.

Have a fantastic Friday!  See you next week!
