Former Texas Governor Rick Perry headlines PA GOP annual Lincoln Day Dinner

HARRISBURG, PA (WPMT)  Former Texas Governor Rick Perry was the Keynote Speaker for the Republican Party of Pennsylvania's annual Lincoln Day Dinner Friday night at the Harrisburg Hilton.

A packed crowd of more than 500 attendees also listened to speeches from PA GOP Chairman Rob Gleason, U.S. Senator Pat Toomey, and former Governor Tom Corbett.

Perry said the party needs to select a presidential nominee with a track record of proven experience in the run for the White House in 2016.

The PA GOP will be holding its Winter Meeting Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. also at the Harrisburg Hilton, where the members will discuss the possible endorsements of candidates for the Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Courts.
