HARRISBURG, PA (WPMT) U.S. Law Shield of Pennsylvania files a motion seeking a preliminary injunction that would suspend enforcement of the City of Harrisburg’s gun ordinances. Earlier this month, U.S. Law Shield, Todd Hoover, a retired State Trooper, as Relator, representing the membership organization, and Justin McShane filed a lawsuit in Dauphin County Court against Harrisburg saying the city’s gun ordinances are illegal under state law.

The City led by Mayor Papenfuse vowed to fight the lawsuit rather than repeal the ordinances. Last Tuesday an offer was made to the City to voluntarily enter into an agreed upon preliminary injunction that U.S. Law Shield said would save City taxpayers thousands of dollars in legal fees.   The offer was rejected.

Harrisburg has until Tuesday, February 3, to formally respond to this latest motion.  U.S. Law Shield is a multi-state 100,000+ gun owner member organizatioin.
