As the state faces a $2.3 billion deficit, Governor Tom Wolf is taking action which he says will save hundreds of millions of dollars.

Secretary of the Department of General Service Curtis Topper and Department of Administration Secretary Sharon Minnich will work with the new office. They will work to coordinate the different state agencies in order to find ways to be more efficient, modernize state government operations, and offer high quality services.

"This is the start of something that I think is going to be transformative and really effective as part of a strategy overall live within our means, and make sure the government is doing what it is supposed to do and what it should do for the citizens of Pennsylvania," Wolf said.

The executive order also directs state agencies to immediately generate $150 million in cost savings for the next fiscal to help address Pennsylvania's deficit.
