Dauphin County Prison inmate died from natural causes, coroner says

SWATARA TOWNSHIP (WPMT)-An inmate at Dauphin County Prison died of natural causes, according to Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick.

Michelle Rutter, 57, was found unresponsive in her cell on February 5.

She was taken to Harrisburg Hospital and later died.

Rutter had been incarcerated since July 2014 for a probation violation.

    Wow. Are we going to get notification of every prisoner who requires medical attention? Many are there because they’ve abused their bodies in some way (drugs). Some are there for life. (Some should be.)
