If you're looking to visit the Land Down Under… you don’t even have to leave Lancaster City.
You may not meet a kangaroo or find Vegemite on the menu… but Aussie and the Fox is a small taste of Australia with a lot of spirit.

“It’s not that you come in here and you have all this Australian food, it’s that we’re playing and doing fun things with food, which represents the Aussie personality,” says General Manager Julia Morrell.

Opened in 2011, Aussie and the Fox is the new restaurant on the King Street block… and business is quickly taking off.
If you're looking for more than dinner you can catch a show here too. Every Wednesday Aussie and the Fox shows movies in the restaurant, which you can enjoy along with your food.
The chefs behind Aussie and The Fox’s menu rely on a lot of local farmers for their ingredients. The process starts right in their own backyard.

“We have a backdoor and they come to the back door and they sell it to us, which is awesome,” says head chef Daniella Ward.

From the Aussie Burger with fried egg, to light dishes like braised lamb meatballs… the menu combines local and international flair.
But it’s not just the locally inspired menu and welcoming atmosphere that makes this restaurant special… Aussie in the Fox is a family affair. It’s run by husband and wife team Julia and Colin Morrell, and supported by Julia’s grandfather Frank.

But as Julia will tell you… there’s always room to expand the Aussie and the Fox family.

“I am in love with the culture we’ve created here at Aussie and the Fox; it’s not just about my family. We’ve created a family.”
