Hundreds of people stripped down and braved the cold on Saturday for the annual Polar Bear Plunge.
The folks, with no fear, ran into the frigid water of the Susquehanna River in Wrightsville, York County.
It’s a yearly winter tradition to raise money for the athletes of Special Olympics York County and the sports in which they participate.
Other activities that took place at the event included a costume parade and a chicken dance.
Teams and individuals raised more than $85,000 for the cause. Online donations will continue to be collected through February. To make a contribution, click here: http://events.specialolympicspa.org/site/TR?fr_id=1070&pg=entry
