Students held an emotional vigil Monday night at Millersville University, in memory of 18-year-old Karlie Hall.

Hall was found dead in her dorm room Sunday morning; police have charged her boyfriend, who did not attend the university, with criminal homicide.

Hundreds of students attended the vigil and a student choir sang "Amazing Grace." They lit candles for Hall and said a prayer.

Students held Millersville flags, and after the vigil they marched to Bard Hall, where Hall lived and where she was found.

Students are planning more events to remember Hall and raise awareness of domestic violence.

"I think this is something that has touched the Millersville community, not only have we lost one of our Marauders, but we've lost her in such a terrible way and its a life that's gone way too soon," Aisling Burns, a senior at Millersville.

Students are planning an online fundraiser to raise money for Hall's funeral expenses. The rest will go to an animal shelter where she volunteered.
