Police: Daughter assaults mother, punches cop in New Cumberland

NEW CUMBERLAND (WPMT)-A 27-year-old woman was arrested after police say she assaulted her mother and then punched a cop in the face early Thursday morning.

Key Rivas-Rivera was arraigned Thursday and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, simple assault and harassment.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Old York Road in New Cumberland for a domestic dispute around 2:20 a.m Thursday.

Rivas-Rivera allegedly punched her mother in the face several times and was out of control destroying things in the trailer, police said. When investigators tried to arrest her–she punched one of the officers in the face, police said.
