LEWISBERRY (WPMT)-An Etters man suspected of robbing a convenience store in Lewisberry Tuesday has been arrested, police said.
Edwin J. Wintermyers, 49, is charged with robbery, theft and simple assault. He was arrested Thursday and taken to York County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
According to police reports, Wintermyers assaulted the store clerk at the Unimart located along the 600 block of Wyndemere Road in Lewisberry on Feb. 10. He then stole several hundred dollars from the register and cigarettes, police said.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 25.
