Edward Lee Mitchell Jr

A man robbed the Metro Bank located at 4350 Linglestown Road shortly after 10am today. The suspect, identified by police as Edward Lee Mitchell Jr., 41,  handed a note to a teller demanding cash and then fled in a light colored compact four door vehicle. The note said that he had a gun but none was displayed. Police say the robbery is related to several other robberies in the Harrisburg area in the last several days which includes the robbery of the Kmart, 5050 Jonestown Rd. in Lower Paxton Township, on the evening of February 12th. Police say Mitchell was dressed in a black or dark blue hooded and zippered sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over a ball cap. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are urged to call their police department.
