Folks in Cumberland County are raising money for stray animals and having a ball while doing it!

Local animal rescue, Furry Friends Network, hosted it’s 12th annual “Strike for Strays” bowlathon at Trindle Bowl in Mechanicsburg.

The fundraiser allowed bowlers of all ages to come out and show off their skills, while competiting for door prizes and trying their luck in some raffles.

All of the proceeds made will go towards veterinary care for all the animals in FFN’s foster care program.

Since 2011, FFN has helped more than 4,500 animals find a forever home in Central PA.

Golly gee. It would be nice to get news of this sort of stuff before it occurs. Of course, that is called advertising. We’d never want to do that in a news segment. It’s not really news unless it is occurring or has occurred.
