FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA (WPMT) A major water break at the Greencastle-Antrim Primary School damages many classrooms and instructional areas. The school district says the school will be closed for students on Tuesday.
The district has arranged with the following locations as alternate sites for classes through next week March 5: Kindergarten will hold classes at the St. Mark’s Catholic Church on Ridge Avenue in Greencastle. Grades first and second will be housed at the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, located off Rt. 11 North on Kauffman Road.
•Students should NOT report to school on Tuesday.
•Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 25.
•If parents are dropping off students or picking them up before and after school, they must do so at the Elementary School.
•Bus pick up times will remain the same. However, drop off times may be later than schedule due to the transferring of students from the alternative locations back to the school campus.
• It is hoped that the Primary Building will be ready for use by Monday, March 9.
•At this point in time, there will be NO school for primary students on Friday, March 6, to allow for staff to transfer from the alternative sites back to the Primary School. However, please be aware that this could change.
