Three juveniles charged in million dollar Red Lion Country Club building fire

YORK COUNTY, PA (WPMT)  Police charge three male juveniles with setting the fire that heavily damaged the Red Lion Country Club building on February 11.

The fire was discovered at about 1:42 am during a routine patrol by York Area Regional Police officers. They noticed smoke coming from the building and alerted 911.

An investigation into the cause of the fire by YARPD and a State Police Fire Marshal, revealed multiple
fires were set within the building. A review of the burglar alarm log indicated an entry alarm activation at 5:14 pm on February 10 and multiple motion and door alarms within a short period of time. At 5:58 pm the last door alarm was logged at the basement entry/exit door. Within a few minutes, the basement smoke/fire alarm, waterflow/sprinkler alarm and first floor smoke/fire alarm was activated.

The three juveniles, all from Red Lion Borough, admitted to their involvement in the fire. Charges against the trio include Arson, Burglary and Criminal Trespass.

The damage to the building was estimated at $1,316,000, structure $1,000,000.00 and contents $316,000.00
