CARLISLE (WPMT)-A Carlisle woman is facing child endangerment charges after a 3-year-old girl, who she was supposed to be watching, was found wandering alone in the street on Wednesday, police said.
Authorities charged 25-year-old Amber Hammaker after a good Samaritan reported finding a 3-year-old girl walking alone in the 400 block of North Hanover Street shortly before 12 p.m.
The girl was walking in a parking lot by herself and carrying a diaper bag, police said.
Police spent the next hour and a half searching for the girl’s guardian.
The investigation revealed that the child was in the care of Hammaker when she wandered off, investigators said.
