[UPDATE]- Seven people were displaced after an early morning fire destroyed a house in Wrightsville, York County.

Officials say the fire broke out just before 4:30 Friday morning along the 500 block of Walnut Street.

Six adults and one child lived at the house; all of them were able to get out safely.

Wrightsville Fire Chief Chad Livelsberger says they believe the fire started in the laundry room then quickly spread to the rest of the home.

The American Red Cross is now assisting the displaced family.

An exact cause of the fire has not yet be determined.

Chief Livelsberger says the house was equipped with working smoke detectors.

[Original Report]- Crews are battling an early morning house fire in York County.

The fire broke out at a home along the 500 block of Walnut Street in Wrightsville just before 4:30 this morning.

There are no injuries at this time.

We are told that Walnut Street between 5th and 6th street is currently closed due to that fire.
