Fire damages Lancaster County home

LANCASTER, PA (WPMT) A two alarm fire damages a Lancaster County home. The fire broke out at about 3:30 pm at the home along the 1500 block of Robert Road, East Lampeter Township.

Smoke and flames poured from second floor windows. There were reports of a person trapped in the basement. However by the time firefighters arrived on the scene, a woman and her two dogs were out of the house and safe.

The fire began in a second floor bedroom and spread through the hallway to the next bedroom.

The City Fire Marshal is investigating the exact cause of the fire.
