Police: Man claiming to be a veteran steals donation jar from Millerstown church

MILLERSTOWN (WPMT)-Police are searching for a man who they said stole a donation jar from a Perry County church last week.

It happened at the Millerstown United Methodist Church located along the first block of North High Street in Millerstown on March 9.

Police said a man, claiming to be a veteran, stole a jar containing approximately $35. The suspect is believed to be in his 50s or 60s with gray hair in a short pony tail.

According to police reports, the man has been seen driving two vehicles, a gray sedan and a green SUV, bearing a veterans license plate.  Investigators said the man goes by the name Jim or James.
