A York County man accused of three separate murder-for-hire plots was released from prison Wednesday on $2 bail.
Gregory Hess, 47, of Seven Valleys, is facing multiple charges including criminal solicitation to commit criminal homicide and conspiracy.
Hess is accused of trying to have his estranged wife’s boyfriend killed as well as informants who helped police build their case against him.
Hess was set to go to trial on Monday, but that trial was continued. Because Hess was not prosecuted within 180 days, Judge Thomas H. Kelly ruled that he could be released on nominal bail.
