Upper Allen Man Arrested Following a Domestic Dispute and Standoff

Upper Allen Police arrested Terrence Dolan, 56, of Mechanicsburg.

Police say on Saturday at 3:20 a.m. on the 2200 block of Canterbury Drive, they responded to a report of a domestic dispute.
The victim was able to leave the residence. Police say the victim reported that Dolan committed an assault. Dolan also threatened the victim with a handgun. Dolan did not respond to the initial police response and subsequently barricaded himself in the residence.

Upper Allen Police requested assistance from the Cumberland County Special Response Team (SRT). After approximately two and a half hours, Dolan exited the residence and was arrested without further incident. Dolan was taken to the Cumberland County prison for preliminary arraignment. Upper Allen Police were assisted by the Mechanicsburg and Lower Allen Police Departments, the Upper Allen Fire Department, Holy Spirit EMS, and Cumberland County SRT.

Dolan faces simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment charges.
