Missing Cumberland County boater laid to rest tomorrow

The teen who went missing while canoeing on the Susquehanna River will be laid to rest Monday. Funeral services have been arranged for Medard Kowalski, 17. The Cedar Cliff High School junior vanished on December 1st. On Monday, his body was recovered near the York Haven Hydroelectric Power Station. Kowalski’s funeral is Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, in New Cumberland.

A scholarship fund called “Medard’s Guiding Light” has been made in his honor. It will help future Cedar Cliff High Schoolers.
