York City man charged with sexual assault involving a minor

HARRISBURG, Pa.(WPMT) – A York City man wanted on sexual assault charges involving a minor is arrested by officers of the U. S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.


York City Police obtained an arrest warrant on March 10th for Andre Marcellus Jones, 24, for indecent assault of a person less than 13 and corruption of minors -defendant age 18 or older. The alleged crimes occurred over a 20-month period from February 2013 through September 2014.

On March 20,  York City Police requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service to locate and apprehend Jones. On the same day Task Force officers located Jones in the 600 block of East Market Street, where he was arrested without incident. Following arraignment Jones was released on $20,000 bail.
