Felton man arrested after pulling gun in road rage incident

A case of road rage leads to an arrest in Dover Township. It started Thursday morning in a parking lot in the area of Route 30 and Pennsylvania Avenue. A Dover Township man told police he was nearly in an accident with another car, a dark colored Chevy Camaro. Both cars pulled onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The driver of the Camaro pulled alongside the other driver and words were exchanged.

The driver of the Camaro then pulled a handgun and pointed it at the victim.

The victim went in an opposite direction of the Camaro and called 911.

Police found the Camaro on Pennsylvania Ave. and identified the operator as Joshua Keith Benson,29, of Maidstone Ave,. in Felton.

A black .45 caliber handgun was recovered from Benson’s vehicle.

Benson was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking to face arraignment on the following charges;

  • Terroristic Threats
  • Simple Assault
  • Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
  • Disorderly Conduct
