Lancaster police have a warrant out for the arrest of 21-year-old Alfred Harry Hicks in connection with a shooting that happened on Thursday morning.
Police interviewed the victim at the hospital and police say , the victim told police an account of the shooting that was not consistent with evidence located at the scene.
According to police Hicks, who is a friend of the victim, shot the victim in the face while the two of them were alone in a bedroom inside Hicks’ residence.
Police recovered two weapons, a Russian semi-auto 7.65 handgun and a sawed-off .22 caliber rifle inside the residence.
Police say Hicks is now being charged with aggravated assault and prohibited offensive weapons. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
