LANCASTER (WPMT)-A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Lancaster last week has turned himself into police.
Alfred Hicks, 21, of Lancaster, is charged with aggravated assault and prohibited offensive weapons. He was arraigned Wednesday and released on $25,000 bail.
Officers were called to the 300 block of West King Street on March 26 around 3 a.m. for a reported shooting. Investigators arrived at the scene and found a 22-year-old man outside with a gunshot wound to his face and hand. He was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police said Hicks was inside his bedroom with his friend when he shot him in the face. Investigators recovered two weapons, a Russian semi-auto 7.65 handgun and a sawed-off .22 caliber rifle, at the scene.
According to police reports, the victim provided an account of the shooting that was not consistent with evidence located at the scene.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 9.
